Sondra Lee Baumann Spaugy, age 68, of Scottdale, died Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in her home. She was born September 29, 1952 in Mt Pleasant, PA, the daughter of Ernest P. Baumann and Josephine Harkins Baumann. In addition to her parents, Sondra was preceded in death by a daughter, Lona Spaugy. Sondra graduated from Southmoreland High School with the Class of 1970 then received a paralegal degree. She worked as a certified nursing aid for St. Anne’s Home in Greensburg before her retirement. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Scottdale. She enjoyed reading, shopping and taking care of her dogs. Left to cherish Sondra’s memory are her two sons, Matthew Spaugy of Wooddale, PA and Mitch Spaugy of Newell, PA; her daughter, Lara Bloom and husband Jim of Brownsville; six grandchildren, Nicholas Guirleo, Megan Guirleo, Serena Spaugy, Desiree Spaugy, Cheyenne Spaugy and Abegail Spaugy; a brother, Donald H. Baumann and wife Peggy Sue of Connellsville; a sister, Lori Sue Hatfield and husband Timothy of Mt. Pleasant; and her faithful dog, Keely. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Andrew D Ferguson Funeral Home & Crematories, Inc, 80 Morgantown St, Uniontown, PA 15401. Services will be private at the family’s request.
