Michael J. Hritz, age 88, of Farmington, PA passed away in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Monday, May 13, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born December 6, 1935 in Swissvale, PA son of the late Michael Hritz and Rose Hirak Hritz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, George Hritz (Dorothy) and sister, Dorothy Hritz Patternac (Steve).
Michael received his Education Degree from Waynesburg College and his Master’s Degree from West Virginia University. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. Michael taught at Laurel Highlands School District. He retired as the Assistant Principal at Laurel Highlands High School. He was a member of VFW North Union Post 8543
Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his pride and joy, his son, Theodore (Teddy) Hritz; nieces, Rose Anne Patternac Stoker and Cindy Snyder; great-nieces, Tina Proctor and Kelly Witucki; great-great niece, Kara and great-great nephews, Adam and Josh Proctor.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA. In accordance with the families wishes there will be no public viewing.
