Leah Rae Salutric, age 85, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, with her loving family at her side. A longtime resident of Uniontown, Leah Rae was born on September 25, 1938, and is daughter of the late Karl N. and Ocie Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Carl N. Salutric, grandson, Blaine Salutric, and sister-in-law, Carol Morris.
Left to cherish Leah Rae’s memory are her daughter, Rebecca L. Yowler (Donnie) of Uniontown; son Ronald C. Salutric (Jennifer) of Bala Cynwyd, PA; and her brother Karl “Bob” Morris of Uniontown.
“Lollie” and “Nana” will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Madison Yowler, (along with fiancée Damon Hubscher and great step-grandson son Liam Hubscher), and Kyle and Erica Salutric. Leah Rae is also survived by her dear cousin Mary Ann Pletcher and nieces, Wende and Kelly Morris, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leah Rae was an active member of the Central Christian Church of Uniontown where she was Life Elder and a member of the Grace Ann Fellowship Group. She also sang in the St. Therese Funeral Choir. Leah Rae had an adventurous spirit and checked off many of her bucket list items. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, attending Broadway shows and concerts, and swimming at the YMCA. Prior to her retirement, Leah Rae had a long-term career in the Circulation Department at Uniontown Newspapers, Inc. She graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1957.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 10 am – 11am, with a service officiated by Rev. Dr. Heather Simpson immediately following. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
