Lorain Kelly Poremba, age 94, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Uniontown Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born May 29, 1928 in Mt Sterling, PA daughter of the late James Kelly and Anna Cannon Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew R. Poremba, Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Twardesky/Musick; brothers, Ray Kelly, Frank Kelly and Paul Kelly and sisters, Florence Winchel, Clara Rockwell, Catherine Allison and Pearl Hagidish and her dog Tiki.
Lorain was a member of the Church of Christ. She worked as photographer and a beautician and she owned and operated Poremba Wholesale Food. Lorain was a Past Den Mother. She loved photography and crocheting. She was the family caregiver and her family was her life.
Left to keep Lorain’s memory alive are her sons, Andrew Poremba, Jr. and wife Joyce and Ronald Poremba and wife Mary Ann; daughters Renay Krouse and husband Paul and Debbie Kelley and husband Steve; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREAMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received Friday, August 5th from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Lorain’s life at 11:00 with Pastor Danny Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights cemetery.
