Linda Lee Kisner Cavinee

Linda Lee Kisner Cavinee, age 83 of Uniontown and formerly of Farmington, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in Uniontown Hospital.  She was born November 16, 1940 in Uniontown, PA daughter of the late Omer Kisner and Madge Jones Kisner.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Matthews, Freda Radabaugh and Gypsie Fretwell.

Linda was a 1958 graduate of Uniontown High School. After high school she went to flight attendant school in California and later attended Waynesburg College.  Linda then joined the United States Navy and found the shipmate she was looking for. She served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War. Linda was a member of Central Christian Church.  She enjoyed reading, dancing, traveling and spending time in Florida.  Linda also enjoyed camping and hosting family and friends at their home in the mountains. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her husband of 60 years, Ralph E. Cavinee of Uniontown; son, Scott Cavinee and wife Diane of Uniontown; daughter Felice Hart and husband Tom of Uniontown; grandchildren, Heather (John), Alex (Taryn), Cory, Andrew, Daniel; great grandchildren Riylee, Baylee, Layne and Crew.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 18th from 1 until 5 p.m. followed by a service celebrating Linda’s life at 5:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Heather Simpson officiating.  Interment will be private.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, plant a dogwood tree for someone you love.

General George C. Marshall Post #103 of Hopwood will accord full military rites at the funeral home.
