Joyce Lasko Poremba, age 70, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on February 19, 2025 in the WVU Uniontown Hospital.  She was born April 1, 1954 in Uniontown, PA daughter of the late Joseph Lasko and Louise M. Valosky Lasko. In addition to her parents, Joyce’s is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lasko and sister Barbara Caldwell.

Joyce was a 1972 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years before retirement. Joyce was a member of the Anchor Fellowship Church.

Left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her loving husband, Andrew R. Poremba, Jr.; a son, Douglas Poundstone of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Amy Kish and husband Todd of Adah, PA; step-children, Jullian Poremba of Pittsburgh and Andrea Poremba of Derry, PA; brothers, Jerry Lasko, Frank Lasko both of Uniontown and Ed Lasko and sister, Joanne Stump both of Middletown, DE

Arrangements have been entrusted to the FERGUSON-BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 78 Main St., Smithfield, PA.  In accordance with Joyces’ wishes, services will be private for the family.
