John P. Jorkasky, age 64, of Uniontown, passed away, Wednesday December 27th, 2023, in his home. He was born in Altoona, PA on October 10th, 1959, son of the late Chester Jorkasky and Patricia Dzaack. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Jorkasky.
John attended Uniontown High School with the Class of 1977. He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked a large variety of jobs before working as a Clerk for many years for Kwik Fill. John enjoyed hunting, collecting memorabilia, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Left to cherish John’s memory are his four sons, John P. Jorkasky II, James Jorkasky and wife Autumn of Lemont Furnace, PA, Andrew Jorkasky and Nicholas Jorkasky of Uniontown, PA; One grandchild, Noelle Jorkasky; two sisters, Lucy Goodwin and husband Bob of West Leisenring, PA and Rosie Smith of Altoona, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, from 4 until 6 PM followed by a service celebrating John’s life at 6 PM. Interment will be private.
