Harvey C. King, III,

Harvey C. King, III, age 69, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at home with his loving wife.  He was born January 5, 1955 in Uniontown, son of Suzanne Seeman King of Uniontown and the late Harvey C. King, Jr.

Harvey was a sports enthusiast with an intense devotion to the Pirates, Steelers, Penguins and Penn State.  He encouraged and was proud of his niece and nephew’s athletic successes.

Harvey was a quiet humble man who asked only to explain that he tried his best and loved his family, church and God.  In 1996, only by the Grace of God, he entered into a life of recovery.  And along with his beloved sponsor and special brothers, he inspired, worked with and prayed for countless young people to save their lives.  He loved his Catholic faith and was Blessed to serve as a Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Evangelist until he was physically unable.  Looking to deepen his Catholic faith and life of service he joined the Brother’s of Prayer, delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteered at Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers.

Left to cherish Harvey’s memory are his loving wife of thirty-four years, Stephanie Knapp King; two Brothers, Thomas King and wife Kelley of State College, PA, Jeffrey King and wife Teresa of Uniontown; two sisters, Mary Partyka and Janie King Harkins both of Uniontown; nieces and nephews: Bradley, Kayla, Sarah, Timothy, Lydia, David, Jennie, Beth, Michael, Joel, Madelyn, Meredith, Luke, Liam, Jim, Lizz, Katie Jennfier and Jessica; fifteen great niece’s and nephew’s; and one great-great niece and his beloved golden retriever, Isaac.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family and was affectionately known as “Uncle Harvey”.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where the family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM and will continue on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 in the funeral home from 8:30 until 9:30 AM followed by prayers of transference at 9:30.
