Samuel W. Fani, Sr., age 74, of Brownsville, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Washington Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born July 23, 1949 in Uniontown son of the late Peter Anthony Fani and Ann Tretinek Fani. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Fani and James Fani and sister, Julie Sible.
Samuel was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. He worked as a truck driver for SuperValu. Samuel was a social member of AMVETS Post 103 and American Legion Post 51 and was a member of the AMVETS Riders and Hutchinson Gun Club. Samuel enjoyed driving his old truck. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Left to cherish Samuel’s memory are his wife, Donna Gaskill Fani of Brownsville, sons, Samuel W. Fani, Jr. of Uniontown and Gary Fani (Jessie Gates) of Oliver; granddaughter, Tia Catherine Fani; sister-in-law, Barbara Fani; nieces Bunny Fani and Danielle Fani and great nieces Christian and Natalya.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. A memorial celebrating Samuel’s life will be held at AMVETS George C. Marshall Post 103 on Friday, June 7th from 5 until 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Samuel can be made to AMVETS Post 103, 123 Buttermilk Lane, Hopwood, PA 15445.
