Emma Jean Bise McGee, age 82, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at home. She was born December 13, 1940 in Morgantown, WV daughter of the late Clarence Curtis Bise and Ermina Robinson Bise. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. McGee; brother, Clarence Bise, Jr. and sisters, Louise Dupree, Shirley Pounds, Arleyne Wingeier, Madalean Freidhof and Eileen Mills.
Emma was a graduate of University High School. She was a member of Smithfield Apostolic Church. Emma worked as a nurse at Uniontown Hospital. She loved to cook and shop and shoot groundhogs that were in her garden. Emma’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Left to cherish Emma’s memory are her sons Curtis McGee (Deborah) of Smithfield and Rodney McGee of Crucible; sister, Joanna Tennant of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren Jennifer Hawk, Raebeth Buda, Audra McGee and Autumn Pile; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the FERGUSON-BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 78 Main St., Smithfield, PA. Per the family’s request there will be no public viewing.
