Edward J. Blaszczak, Jr. ,

Edward J. Blaszczak, Jr., (EJ) age 29, of York, PA, formerly of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, when his Lord and Savior came to free him of his long hard battle with substance abuse.  He was born on November 10, 1994 in Uniontown, PA, the son of Edward J. Blaszczak, Sr., of Uniontown, and Jennifer Assenat of Monessen.

EJ was a 2013 Graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and briefly attended Robert Morris University.  He worked as a Security Specialist for Rite Aid at the time of his passing. EJ ‘s most precious pride and joy was his daughter Graelynn Sofia Blaszczak who he loved so very much. EJ was a kind and loving soul who would always help anyone or any animal he saw or found was in need. He loved playing his guitar, watching and talking about sports to everyone, especially his dad.  From the moment he was born, he was smart and funny. At a young age he loved watching the history channel and national geographic with his dad where he again would learn so much and amaze people with his knowledge but admitted he loved to watch Sponge Bob and insisted he learned alot from that too. His sense of humor was like no other. He was always making people laugh and smile. It was just such a big part of him and who he was. He always had a joke to tell, especially to his mom who would laugh the hardest. He loved spending time with his sisters and cousins whenever he could, especially in their younger days where they had such fun times together. He cherished those moments and talked about them often.

Left to cherish EJ’s memory are his parents, Edward Blaszczak of Uniontown and Jennifer Assenat and Step Dad Steve of Monessen; His daughter Graelynn Sofia Blaszczak of York, PA; His sister Alena Cox and her husband Caleb of Florida; His sister Louisa Assenat of Monessen, PA; His maternal grandmother Donna Buffa; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who loved him dearly; Kelsy Myers, who he loved unconditionally  and her family Randy, Jen, & Maddie Myers who were always there for him.

And also his two cats Boots & Maribel who he found, saved and loved.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ralph Buffa; his paternal grandparents Edward and Leona Blaszczak; His aunt Janice Heintzelman and cousin Gregory Blaszczak.
