David E. Mitchell, age 61, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born July 5, 1960 in Uniontown son of the late John Mitchell and Marilyn Lee Mitchell-Keffer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Earl Keffer; brother, Richard Mitchell and sister, Georgetta Trocheck.
David was a 1977 graduate of Laurel Highlands. He worked as an Engineer Technician for Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. David enjoyed working on cars and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were his life.
Left to keep David’s memory alive are his wife, Evelyn Myers Mitchell; sons, David E. Mitchell, Jr. and wife Bonnie and Kevin A. Mitchell all of Uniontown; brothers John Mitchell and wife Patricia, James Mitchell, Randy Mitchell and wife Annie, Earl Thomas Keffer and Mark Keffer, all of Uniontown; sister, Marjorie Mitchell of Uniontown and sister-in-law, Cindy Mitchell of Brownsville; grandchildren, Sarah Crayton, Noah Mitchell and Kamren Mitchell; his extended family, brothers-in-law, Michael Myers and John Myers, Jr. both of Uniontown; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Keefer and husband John of Scottdale, Cindy Patton and husband Mark of Smithfield, Brenda Obenstine and husband Russell of Elizabethtown, PA, Tammy Pedro and husband John of Uniontown and Patty King and husband Scott of Uniontown and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. followed by a service celebrating David’s life at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Gear officiating. Interment will be private.
