Ruth A. Walters Pottinger, age 72, of Uniontown passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born in Smock, PA on October 30, 1949. The daughter of John W. Walters and Betty Ann Thomas Walters. In addition to Ruth’s parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sammy K. Pottinger; a brother, Sam Walters and a sister, Eileen Falco.
Ruth worked as a waitress and then was employed painting trains. She belonged to the American Legion Post #51 Auxiliary and Catholic War Veterans Club. She enjoyed her life and family.
Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are a son, Shawn Fuller and wife Christina of New Salem; two daughters, Betty Jo Kimberly and Lisa Fuller both of Uniontown; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Walters and wife Brenda of Brownsville and Ricky Walters and wife Amy of Uniontown; two sisters, Janet Lee Keller of Uniontown and Karen (KK) Laschinsky and wife Katherine (Kat) of Brownsville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES INC., 80 Morgantown St, PA where family and friends will be received on Monday, January 3, 2021 from 4 until 6 PM followed by a service celebrating Ruth’s life at 6 PM with Rev Jim Gear officiating. Interment will be private.
