Richard D. Cook, age 66, of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born July 7, 1957 in Old Frame, the son of Bobby Cook and Mary Hoppe Hayduk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Cook; and a brother, Adolf Carl Cook.
Richard was a 1975 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School. He was employed by the Uniontown Hospital as a Storage Room Laborer and then for the Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation as a bus driver. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping. His family was his life.
Left to cherish Richard’s memory are two sons, Jason Cook, Sr of Masontown, Adam Swink Cook of Perryopolis; a daughter, Angel Cook of Perryopolis; four grandchildren; two brothers, John Connelly and wife Patricia of Smithfield and George Connelly and wife Charlotte of Carmichaels.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the FERGUSON-BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 78 Main St., Smithfield, PA. His service was private at his request.
