Miriam A Nowakowski age 47, of West Brownsville died Monday, July 25, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1975 in Brownsville daughter of the late John Nowakowski and Helen Kekely Harvey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Barcus; husband, Daniel Barcus; brother, Harry Kekeley and aunt, Elsie Joseph and husband Harry.
Miriam was a safety chaser for Hill International Trucking for many years before her early retirement because of health reasons.
Left to cherish Miriam’s memory are her significant other, Anthony Popiesh of West Brownsville, PA; brothers, Shawn Nowakowski and wife Tina of Maxwell, PA, Eric Hogan and wife Laura of Austintown, OH, John Nowakowski and wife Christina of Mercersburg and Edward Nowakowski and wife Karen of Poca, WV; sister, Julie Carnathan and husband Sean of West Brownsville; many nieces and nephews and aunt, Barbara Richards and husband Sylvester (deceased) of Merrittstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. A celebration of life for Miriam will be held at a later date.
