Meribelle Ross Cole “Baba”, age 86, of Uniontown passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  She was born in Uniontown, PA May 12, 1931, daughter of the late Guy Ross and Maryann Burrows Ross.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph G. Ross, Guy Ross, Jr., and Robert B. Ross and a sister, Elouise Conn Eberly.

 

Meribelle graduated from Uniontown High School with the class of 1949.  She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Kitchen Krew, helped with the Day Care, was a Youth Counselor, served as a Deacon, was a member of Grace Bible Class and was a Preschool volunteer.  She was a member of the Third Presbyterian bowling league, and was on the Uniontown High School 1949 Class Reunion Committee.  Meribelle enjoyed line dancing, knitting, traveling, camping, old country music, and fall and spring foliage at Camp Boone.  Meribelle worked for many years as a secretary for her brother-in-law, Dr. Howard F. Conn.

 

Left to cherish Meribelle’s memory are her husband Franklin D. Cole of Uniontown, PA, sister, Ruth Ann Ott of St. Petersburg, FL, and many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from Noon until 2 pm and 6 until 8 pm.  Visitation will continue in Third Presbyterian Church on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10 until 11 am followed by a service celebrating Meribelle’s life at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Colleen Molinaro officiating.  Interment will follow in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery.
