Jacqueline (Jackie) Schwenk, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, peacefully passed away on December 22, 2023, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She was born on May 9, 1927, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to Duke and Catherine Wright.
Jackie married Willard Schwenk, in 1946, and they soon moved to Cleveland Ohio and had one son, William.
Jackie dedicated more than 30 years of her life to the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
Jackie is preceded in death by her father, Duke Wright, her mother, Catherine Wright, and her sister, Doris Coldren. She is survived by her son, William Schwenk, and his wife, Pat, of Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Rick and Dala Schwenk, Glorianne and Kevin Burrell, and Sandy and Kevin Burr, all of Oklahoma. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Rickell and Scott Greene of Minnesota, Caitlin and Elijah Naney, Chloe Schwenk, and Kennedy and Helton Burr, all of Oklahoma. Two great-great-grandchildren, Harper and Maddox Greene of Minnesota.
Jackie will be remembered for her love of books and enjoyment of being outdoors. She had an affinity for all animals but especially her cats. She was devoted to her service at Great Bethel Baptist Church and formed many friendships while there.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Jackie’s life will be held at Ferguson Funeral Home in Uniontown on Friday, Deccember 29, 2023 from 10 AM until noon with Dr Mac Reed officiating. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, Brownsville, PA . The family expresses gratitude for the support and condolences received during this difficult time.
