Frances Myron age 72, of Smithfield passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at home. She was born on June 27, 1949 in Belle Vernon, PA. She was the daughter of the late Dominic Bitonti, and Alice Preston Bitonti. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Posten, Jr.; brothers, Dominic Bitonti, Jr., Louis Bitonti, and Michael Bitonti, and sister, Rose Rifitz.
Frances attended Ben Franklin School, she then worked as a Security Guard. She was a member of the AMVETS Post # 103. She loved dancing and loved her dog “ChiChi”.
Frances is survived by her son, Edward Posten and wife Kristen of Masontown; three daughters, Alice Walters and husband Jerry of Smithfield, Betty Gibson and husband Thomas of Masontown, Rebecca Pryce and husband John Ohler of Fairchance; two brothers, William Bitonti of Washington, PA, Charles Bitonti of Dayton, OH; 9 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Brownfield Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., at 78 Main St., Smithfield, PA 15478. Funeral arrangements are private per family request.
