Donald L. Bates, Jr., age 63, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Bella Health Care. He was born December 12, 1959 in Waynesburg, PA son of the late Donald E. Bates, Sr. and Ivy Deems Bates.
Donald was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School. He was employed as a Dish Tank Operator for Frank I’s Bar & Grill. Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing, four wheeling and music concerts.
Left to cherish Donald’s memory are his wife Patricia Bates of Uniontown, daughters, Jessica Lingenfield of Jefferson, Heather Bates of Washington, PA, Cassie Bates of Lancaster, OH and Brianna Bates of Graysville, PA; step-daughter, Amanda Foster (Daniel) of Clarksville, PA; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his fur comanions, Scruffy and Kia.
Arrangements has been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23rd from 3 until 5 p.m. followed by a service celebrating Donald’s life at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Henderson officiating. Interment will be private.
