Barbara J. Liptak Berdar, age 86, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born October 3, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph A. Liptak and Anna Bobish Liptak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Berdar, sister, Donna Stashick and brother, Andrew Liptak.
Barb was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and longtime Bell and Choir member. She was an avid crocheter, and donated hundreds of prayer blankets to her church and numerous afghans to various charities. She made well over 700 afghans in her lifetime.
Left to cherish Barb’s memory are her loving daughter, Debbie Crago and husband Scott and son, Derek Berdar and wife Paulette. She was a very proud Gram of Ashley (Crago) Elkins and husband, Jonathon, Lisa (Crago) Kelch and husband Jeremy, Tiffany Henry and Richard Lee and a loving Great-Grammy to Ivy Kelch, Korbyn Henry, Abygale Stough and Wyatt Lee. She was also a very special sister-in-law to Maxine Berdar and special aunt to Beth Liptak. In addition, she is survived by sister, Kathy Suhar and husband Joe; brothers, Joseph Liptak and Nick Liptak and wife Janice and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would to like to extend a special thank you to Logan, Miranda and Kim from Amedisys Hospice for taking such great care of our mom.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. A Blessing service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 in Mount Macrina Mausoleum Chapel at 10 AM.
