Alexander Kenneth Russell

Alexander Kenneth Russell, age 35, passed away on July 23, 2024. He was born on January 18, 1989,in Newtownards, Northern Ireland to Harold John William and Debra Lynn (Lowery) Russell.

Alex graduated from Laurel Highlands High School Class of 2007.  He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Political Science. He continued his education and passed several rigorous exams, eventually earning his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Alex was employed by Atlantic Union Bank as Director of Loan Syndications.

Alex was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Gilbert Lowery and paternal grandfather, Stanley Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Brandy Marie (Sibis) Russell, two daughers; Ava Claire and Isla Maeve, a son; Conor Patrick, his parents; Harold and Debra Russell, paternal grandmother; Wilma Russell, maternal grandmother; Barbara Lowery, sisters; Julie Russell and Kelly (David) Sisak, McDonald, PA.  Alex is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Frank and Nancy Sibis, and a brother-in-law; Franky Sibis; aunts and uncles; Catherine Hunter, Stanley (Nicky) Russell, Tony (Pauline) Russell, and Michael Lowery; and many cousins.

Alex enjoyed golf, soccer and rugby. He especially loved cheering for Leeds United, his favorite soccer team.  He loved spending time with his children; kicking a soccer ball with Conor, doing math problems with Ava, and watching Isla learn to walk.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown PA., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating. Interment will be private.

No parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child. My heart aches for the both of you, and I hope you can find strength in the love and support surrounding you during this extremely difficult time.

I will keep your son in my prays this week.
