WHO WE ARE

About us

A Family History The Ferguson Funeral Home was founded by Andrew D. Ferguson Sr., in Uniontown, Pennsylvania more than 90 years ago. The newspaper described the senior Ferguson as being “a community leader and a truly caring professional.” In 1961, Andrew D. Ferguson Jr., took over the responsibilities of the funeral home and continued the tradition of friendly, caring service. In 1988, the third generation joined in, preparing for dramatically changing times in the funeral industry. The tradition carries on today as the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home & Crematories, Inc., is a proud fifth-generation, family owned and operated business with locations in Uniontown and Smithfield.

Andrew D. Ferguson III, and his family, strive to meet the special needs the community and help guide them through life’s transitions. Because of their commitment to kindness and sincere care, many families have pulled through difficult times and found new hope and support. Today, the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home & Crematories, Inc., continues to serve the community, guided by the traditions it was built upon – trust, compassion and care.

OUR SERVICES

The Ferguson family offers many programs and services to support needs of the local community. Whether you are thinking of pre-planning a funeral, or dealing with the grief that comes from losing a loved one, you will find comfort in the all-encompassing care our funeral homes provide. In addition to our Uniontown location, we have extended our services to the Smithfield community and now operate the Ferguson-Brownfield Funeral Home & Crematories, Inc.

OUR FACILITIES

The 8,200 square foot handicapped-accessible mansion, located in Uniontown, was built in 1900, and houses a library and resource center, pre-planning office and conference room, along with several reception areas and lounges. It also has a sheltered portico for weather-free entry. The Victorian manor offers a family oriented atmosphere, preserving the tradition of dignity and integrity on which the Ferguson family pride themselves.

Paddy “Sis” Reagan Widawski, age 79, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.  She was born October 30, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Allen Reagan Sr., and Velma Keener Reagan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Allen Reagan, Jr., and James Reagan.   Paddy was a 1963 graduate of Uniontown Joint Sr. High School.  She worked as a Computer Programmer for AT&T for 30 plus years, before she retired in 1990.   Left to cherish Paddy’s memory are her two sisters, Debbie Reagan, Sandy Fields and husband Paul; Brother, Robert Reagan; Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.   Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA.  In accordance with Paddy’s wishes there will be no public viewing.   Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at adferguson.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.  
William Collins
William S. Collins, Jr., age 66, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was born June 6, 1959 in Uniontown, PA son of the late William S. Collins, Sr. and Dolores Ann McDade Collins Horne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Lewis.
William was a 1977 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. He worked as a bookkeeper.
Left to cherish William’s memory are his son Matthew Vernon of Sedalia MO; sister, Denise Horwath and husband James of Uniontown; half-brother, James Stewart of Florida; nephew’s, Kenny Ashton, Alex Ashton and Chance Lewis and nieces, Kayla Ashton, Shelly Stewart and Sherry Grimm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA. In accordance with the family’s wishes there will be no public viewing.

Terry R. Wilson, 87, of Uniontown, PA, passed from this life on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Monarch Meadow PCH where he resided for the last six years and where he acquired the name Big T.  He was born September 12, 1937, in Brownsville, PA, the older of two sons of the late Dalton L. and Violet E. (Elliott) Wilson.   Terry served in the United States Air Force from October 1955 until October 1959, having enlisted with friends, Harold Babbony and Richard Dreistadt.  While in the service, he gained another lifelong friend in Donald “Ozzie” Ostrander, who also shared his love of Indian motorcycles.  He was stationed in Florida and Louisiana, and talked about his travels including to Madagascar.  In 1962, he married Esther Golden with whom he shared just three months shy of 60 years when she predeceased him in June 2022.  He was also predeceased by his first grandchild, Gregory Blaszczak, in May 2021.  He was employed by Tingley Rubber Corp., New Jersey, and then for 30 years until retirement by Rockwell International, later named Sensus Technologies, of Uniontown.  Terry was not a member of any formal club/organization since he preferred riding his Harley to drop in on friends around the area whenever the mood struck him.  He and Esther also took many car trips down South in the 80s and 90s.  He was meticulous in his care of the lawn and in his organization of his home workshop area (or any area within his purview).  During his time at Monarch Meadow, he was known for his love of sweets, cigarettes and handheld poker game.  That can also be said of his life at home, along with his fondness for the Fabulous 50s.   Terry is survived by his three children:  Karen L. Wilson Thompson (Tim), Ronald R. Wilson and Nancy L. Wilson Blaszczak (Greg).  Five grandchildren are left to remember “Pappy Skunk”:  Emily Blaszczak Gill (Chris), Benjamin Blaszczak, Katie Thompson, Parker Wilson and Blake Wilson.  He also leaves behind his brother, Ken Wilson; Ken’s daughter, Kathy Rohde (Ron); two sisters-in-law, Eleanor McGee (Frank) and Carol Eichmiller, and their children, Lisa McGee and J.J. Eichmiller; maternal relatives from Brownsville; and, a number of friends.  The family wishes to thank OSPTA Hospice and all of the Monarch Meadow Staff, especially Kameshia, Sharon, Sammi, Jackie, Janet, Jody, and James.   Friends will be received in the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA, on Friday, June 27, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM and on Saturday, June 28, until 11AM, the hour of service with Reverend Gloria Jun officiating.  Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.  
Donald Malaspino photo
Donald J. Malaspino, age 87, of Chalk Hill, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025.  He was born April 14, 1938 in Uniontown, PA son of the late Sinbad J. Malaspino and Christina Dorothy Vaclavik Malaspino.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joann E. Gibson Malaspino and son, David Malaspino.   Donald was a graduate of German Township High School.  He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.  Donald worked as a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines until his retirement in 1990.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and ocean cruises.   Left to cherish Donald’s memory are his sons, Brian Malaspino (Linda) of Markleysburg and Jeffrey Malaspino (Donna) of Chalk Hill; brother Douglas Malaspino (Betty) of Chesterfield, VA and grandchildren, Ashlee Malaspino, Brandon Malaspino, Michael Cesarino, Jeffrey Malaspino and Chelsea Malaspino-Schultz (Zach).   Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D.
