Todd E. Hixon, age 50, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Uniontown, PA, went to be with the Lord, Friday, November 1, 2019 in his home. He was born in Uniontown on August 6, 1969, the son of the late Charles A. Hixon, Jr. and Linda Haught Hixon Brown and her husband G. William Brown. In addition to his father, Todd is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Henderson and Ethel Haught and paternal grandparents, Charles A. and Lillian Hixon, Sr.
Todd was a 1987 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. He worked as a nurse for Forbes Nursing and Rehab Center. Todd enjoyed competitive roller skating, swimming, golfing and loved animals.
Left to cherish Todd’s memory, in addition to his mother are his brother, Charles A. Hixon and wife Jean of North Pole, Alaska; three sisters, Tammy Campbell and husband Ed of Morgantown, WV, Sherry Minnick of Dilner, PA and Debra Brown of Greensboro, PA; a niece, Rose Hienen and husband Matt of Colorado Springs, CO; a nephew, Charles P. Hixon of North Pole, Alaska; aunts, Ada Rockwell of Uniontown and Beverly Hixon of North Olmstead, OH; his loving caregiver, Bill Gerhardt of Pittsburgh and his fury companion, Zeus.
Arrangements have been entrusted to ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA where friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 10 until 11 AM followed by a service celebrating Todd’s life at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill, PA. Military rites will be accorded by General George C. Marshall, AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
