Ted M. Shallenberger, age 69, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Connellsville, PA on June 20, 1952 son of the late Chris and Pauline Shallenberger. He was preceded in death by brothers, Chuck, Benny, Chris and Bob; a sister Mary Clem; sister in law’s, Joann Shallenberger, Joanne Shallenberger, Dorothy Shallenberger; Brother in law’s, Samuel Mardis, Mike Murray, Skip Aberegg; nephews, Scotty Shallenberger, Dennis “Bub” Taylor, David Shumar, Dale Mardis, and Randy Fisher, Jr.
Ted was a 1971 graduate of Connellsville High School then was drafted into the Army and served with the 5th Special Forces Group. He studied mechanics at Wyotech. He then owned his own Detail Shop, called Ted’s Mobile Detail Shop. Ted was a member of the AMVETS Post 103, and Hutchinson’s Sportsman Club. He was a car enthusiast who loved going to car shows. Ted was also an excellent fisherman, hunter and steelers fan. He loved spending time with his family and his grandkids were his world. Ted loved his pets two dogs, Killer and Nikki and two cats Precious and Oreo.
Left to cherish Ted’s memory is his loving wife of 27 years Brenda Shallenberger ; his son Christopher Neill Shallenberger and fiancé Alysia Searcy of Uniontown; his daughters, Shelby Shallenberger and fiancé Brandon Swaney of Uniontown and Tiffany Jamieson; Brothers and Sisters, John Shallenberger of Scottdale, Fern “Sis” Murray of Scottdale, Samuel Shallenberger of Connellsville, Blanche Mardis of Connellsville, Dorothy Taylor and husband Denny of Connellsville, Alberta Aberegg of Maine, Betty Fisher of South Connellsville, Paula Porterfield husband Ed of South Connellsville, Sister in law Patricia Shallenberger of Scottdale; four grandchildren, Brayden, Oliver, Wyatt and Leah.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA where a memorial service will be in Ted’s honor on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 6PM where a service will be held celebrating with Minister Joshua Paul Miskanin officiating. Interment will be private.
