Richard Dean Leadbeater

Richard Dean Leadbeater born July 27, 1958, passed away at his home on May 25, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Ewing Lewis Leadbeater, and Myrtle Guy Leadbeater. In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by his wife Mildred “Sweetsie” Leadbeater, his brother-in-law Wayne Mitchell, his nephews Charles and Mark Mitchell and his beloved dog Myrtle.

 

Ricky attended Redstone School and then after school he started working, he did many jobs throughout his life his last job he worked was as a deck hand at Campbell Transport. He loved to fish, hunt, and watch football and Nascar. Ricky loved to watch his grandson race in motorcycle races and he loved junking. He enjoyed drinking Ole Millwakee and having a good time with his friends and family. He was a kind man that would give the shirt off of his back for anyone and he loved his family above all. Ricky was someone who everyone knew his name, an amazing brother, step dad, Uncle and even better Pappy. Family was his life and he cherished every moment he could spend with them.  He was proud of everyone in his family and all they accomplished. Funeral arrangements and service are private viewing for family only

 

He is survived by his beloved dog Molly, his sister Alice Mitchell of Uniontown, PA, Carol Thompson of Beaumont, Texas, his brother David Leadbeater and wife Phillis of Cheasepeake, Virginia; his children, Charles Opel of Cardale pa, Ida Opel Republic pa, Krystal Opel and fiancé Josh Click of Ravenswood WV; Grandchildren, Jessica Ward husband Noelie of North Carolina, Justin Opel wife Kylie North Carolina, Charlie Opel wife Olivia North Carolina, Tyler Maiolo fiancé Kenzie Sabatula Uniontown pa , Raigan Maiolo Ravenswood WV and Emily Opel Republic PA. Great grandchildren Tristan, Molly, & Kenna Ward, Caroline Opel, Anastasia Opel, Greyson & Hayvyn Maiolo, Steele Maiolo. Several neices and nephews:  Randy Mitchell wife Susan, Rodgina Roberts husband Adam,

Susan Costillio husband Manuel, Jodi Perez husband Jose, Derek Guty wife Kaye, Miracle Turner husband Lucas, Michael Leadbeater wife Carrie, Johnny Leadbeater wife Christine, Candace Oquendo husband Angel; 12 Great nieces and 12 Great nephews
