Mark A. Chick, Sr., age 60, of Smock, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 30, 1962 in Connellsville, son of the late Walter Chick and Ruby Grimm Chick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Jeanna Chick; three brothers, Walter Chick, Stanley Chick and Roger Chick and a sister, Patricia Ewart.
Mark worked as a steelworker for U.S. Steel and then was the general manager at the Dollar General. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, baseball and football.
Left to cherish Mark’s memory are his wife of forty-three years, Tammy Landman Chick; two sons, Mark Chick, Jr and wife Brigette and Matthew Chick all of Uniontown; a daughter, Jennifer Chick of Uniontown; six grandchildren, Paityn, Jayden, Matty, Saylor, Miya, and Casen; a brother, Denny Chick of the Villages, FL; a sister, Dorothy Ridenour of Myrtle Beach, SC and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, 80 MORGANTOWN ST, UNIONTOWN, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 4 until 6 PM. A service celebrating Mark’s life will be held at 6 PM with Rev Charlie O’Brien. Interment will be private.
