Joseph W. Martin, 88, of Dunbar, PA, died on August 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born on June 18, 1935 in Dunbar, PA. The son of the late Ernest C. martin and Josephine Gouker Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Martin; brother, Glenn Martin, and a sister, Ernestine “Teenie” Everest.
Joseph graduated from Dunbar high school, he then joined the service as a Marine and served our country for six years. He loved hunting, fishing, and working in the garden. Joseph loved going to church at Dunbar Baptist.
Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph C. Martin of Dunbar; daughter, Marjorie Black of Dunbar, and one grandson, Michael Leapline. The family would like to give a special thank you to Cathy Quinlan, and Amedisys Hospice for the great care that they gave to Joseph
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. At Joseph’s request there will not be a service.
