Joseph A. “Toby” Mollica, age 91, of Uniontown, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 30, 1932 in Lambert, PA son of the late Ernest Mollica and Margaret Rulli Mollica. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carmella Mollica and son-in-law, Roland Laurita.
Joseph was a 1950 graduate of German Township High School. He was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. Joseph worked as a welder for Fruehauf. He served as a Sargeant in the United States army in the Korean Conflict. Joseph was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Lodge #1275, AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Sons of Italy Giuseppe Mazzini. #231 and the VFW Post 47. He enjoyed riding his lawn mower, gardening, golf, bocci and family vacations. Joseph was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He enjoyed his wife’s home cooking and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Left to cherish Joseph’s life are his loving wife of 67 years, Regina E. Raubaugh Mollica of Uniontown; daughter, Regina Laurita (Jeffrey Bane) of Uniontown; son, Joseph V. Mollica (Lisa) of Uniontown; sister, Andriana Bartok of Mentor, OH and; grandchildren, Mario Laurita (Ashley), Gino Mollica (Nathaniel Beers) and Gianna Dascenzo (Corey); future great grandson, Giovanni Laurita; nephews, nieces and many loving friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Friday, July 5th from 2 until 5 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. followed by prayers of transfer at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial celebrating Joseph’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Joseph can be made to Amedisys Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 and the American Cancer Society
A service will be conducted on Friday at 7 PM by the Sons of Italy Giuseppe Mazeni Lodge#231 of Uniontown.

So sorry to see the passing of Joe on the Herald web page. We don’t get a paper and when we saw it on the computer the funeral had passed. As your neighbor for many years I always remembered his pretty red cars and how friendly he was. God Bless you.
