James D. Bonivich, age 67, of Smock, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Uniontown Hospital, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Morgantown, WV, on October 31, 1954 son of the late John Bonivich and Ethel Dove Bonivich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Bonivich.
James graduated from Albert Gallatin High School class of 1973. He then worked as a Gas well tender at Dunkard oil and Rice oil. He loved to work for many hours on his tractors and enjoyed working around his house.
Left to cherish Jame’s memory are his wife of 48 years, Kathy Phillips Bonivich; daughter, Heidi Rhoderick and husband Tad of Keisterville, PA, and adopted daughter Paige Zack; three sisters, Betty Bonivich of Smock, Cathy Walters of Dillinger, and Ruth Adams of WV; two grandchildren that he loved and adored very much, Isabelle and Ian; mother-in-law, Jennie Conner of Masontown, WV; several brother and sister in laws and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. At the request of the family there will be no public viewing.
