Isabel Holyfield Tolbert, age 70, of Uniontown passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 15, 2019 after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was born on August 5, 1949 in Uniontown, PA. She was daughter of Harry Holyfield and Betty King Holyfield. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, John P. Phillips.
Izzie was a 1967 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. She was a faithful worker for French’s Cleaners for over twenty years before her retirement. Izzie enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking but most importantly her family was her life.
Left to cherish Izzie’s memory is her loving husband of fifty-one years David E. Tolbert; two sons, David E. Tolbert, Jr. and wife Sharon of Uniontown and Brandon Tolbert and wife Janis of Rice’s Landing; four grandchildren, Damon Tolbert, Jared Tolbert, Tucker Tolbert and Blake Tolbert; three brothers, Arthur Holyfield and Harry Holyfield both of Uniontown and Clifford Holyfield and wife Phyllis of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Edna Hunt of Connellsville; a step-grandson, Andrew Smith and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA and will be announced in December.
