Grace Martin

Grace Martin, age 73, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Uniontown Hospital.  She was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on January 19, 1947 daughter of the late Henry Clay Martin and Edna Jewell Martin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, O. Desiree Martin and Wretha (Brooks) Donaldson; brothers, Henry C. Martin, Jr., Samuel Martin and C. Edward Martin and sisters, Martha Lewis and Sarah Roberts.

 

Grace loved her family more than anything and would give what she could, be it the shirt off her back or to put us in our place.  Grace was an avid reader and a huge Steeler fan.  She got her GED and went to nursing school to become an LPN.

 

Left to cherish Grace’s memory are her daughters, Cynthia J. (Brooks) Smith of Carmichaels, PA and Eugenia M. (Brooks) Edwards (James) of Crown Point, IN; brothers Herschel Martin (Bonnie) of Lawrenceburg, TN and John Martin (Aleta) of Bloomsburg, PA; sisters, Florence McIntyre (Cliff) of Tulahoma TN and Annie Mae, Lewis (George) of Carmichaels, PA; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she adored.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA.  At the request of the family there will be no public viewing.

 

Donations in memory of Grace can be made to Ferguson Funeral Home, 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 to help cover the cost of funeral arrangements.

Rest In Peace Grace . this still isn’t real to me , you were my aunt – in – law and a trusted friend of many yerars and many shared memories . Peace to the kids and grandkids

Your Mom was a special lady and she will be with you always . Know that I’m sending you love and prayers that God will give you strength and comfort. I’ll always be here for you Cindy. You your sister have my heartfelt sympathies. Rest in peace Grace.
