Dorothy B. Wheeler, age 95, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the Country Care Manor, Fayette City. She was born in Brownsville, PA on November 02, 1925, the daughter of Horace L. Beeson and Sarah E. Bakewell Beeson. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Harry E. Wheeler; one brother Richard Beeson and a special Aunt Ernestine Yarnevich.
Dorothy graduated from Brownsville High School with the class of 1943. She then worked for Bell Telephone as a Telephone Operator for 22 years before retiring. Dorothy was also a member of Bell organizations, and a supporter of Vietnam Veterans of Fayette County, and a life member of Christ Episcopal Church, Brownsville, PA.
Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her son Raymond Moser, and two step sons Tad Wheeler and wife Vicki of Uniontown, and Rod Wheeler and wife Nancy of Uniontown; one daughter Ruth Lynch and husband Dan of Maryland; two step daughters Lori Graham of Uniontown and Hilary Hostetler and husband Ron of Brownsville; four granddaughters Mackenzie Wheeler, Madison Wheeler, Morgan Wheeler and Ericka Johnson and husband Thomas; four grandsons Matthew Heuston, Zack Heuston, Walter Gillis and wife Rebecca, and Ronald Hostetler and wife Kristy; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA, where family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from Noon to 4:00 PM followed by a service celebrating Dorothy’s life at 4:00 PM with Pastor Larry Coltura officiating. Interment will be private.
