Dorothy Ann Bodziony, age 92, of Uniontown, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 in Lafayette Manor. She was born July 8, 1931 in Uniontown, daughter of the late Joseph Bodziony and Anna Sedlock Bodziony. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Bodziony and Stanley Bodziony and sisters, Josephine Ochocki, Helen Zerecheck, Mildred Divito, Cecelia Nigriny and Florece Rodgers.
Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of North Union High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Dorothy previously worked at Berkowitz Shirt Factory and Rockwell International.
Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her nephews, John Nigriny (Kathy) of Ohio, John Cindric of Pittsburgh, Leonard Bodziony (Dale) of Wyoming, Larry Divito of Illinois, Tom Zerecheck of Uniontown and Richard Bodziony (Sonya) of Maryland; nieces, Phyllis Lynch of Ohio and Joyce Ochocki of Ohio; great nieces and nephews, Terry, Jr., Barbara, Theresa and Jimmy (children of Phyllis Lynch), Desiree, Darcy and Devan (children of Richard Bodziony) and special friend, Kim Ritenour (Ed).
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 12th from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. followed by Prayers of Transfer at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Dorothy’s life at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to a charity of choice.
