David Paul Stewart, Age 73, of Uniontown, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Sewickly, PA on June 4, 1951, son of the late Paul Stewart and Mary Jane Russell Stewart.
Paul was a 1969 graduate of Ambridge High School and also Edinboro College with a degree in Art Sciences.
He worked at Connellsville High School as an art teacher for 34 years. During his retirement he earned his Commissioned Lay Pastor certificate from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and served various churches in the Redstone Presbytery. David was also a Civil War Reenactor playing a role in the movie “Gettysburg”. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Uniontown Amateur Radio Club, Hutchinson’s Sportsmen’s Club, Fairchance Rod and Gun Club, Pittsburgh Artists & Blacksmith Association and PSERS.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his wife Lourie Hostetler Stewart; daughter, Elizabeth Roseski, Masontown, PA; brother, Donald Stewart, Gibsonia, PA. and his beloved pets, Harvey, Aaron, Crue, and General Jeb.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. At the family’s request there will be no service.
