Danette L. Keown, age 66 of McClellandtown, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Berea, Ohio on March 25, 1957 to the late Harry E. “Red” Johnston and Olive R. Clemmer Johnston. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Dee graduated high school in 1975 at Fairchance-Georges HS. After high school she started her family and stayed at home raising her four children that she loved dearly. Dee loved to play Bingo, and belonged to many car clubs and was an avid Star Wars fan.
Left to cherish Dee’s memory are her loving husband of 25 years, Thomas J. Keown, of McClellandtown; two sons, Greg Lewellen of Uniontown, and Garrett Lewellen and wife Lezliann of Maroboro, NJ; two daughters, Jillyn Lewellen of Latrobe, and Jayme McCourt and husband Tim of Lake Lynn, PA; one brother, Dennis P. Johnston of Gettysburg; two sisters, Kimberly R. Dillinger of Fairchance, and Sarah E. Green fiancé, Jim Mansberry of Connellsville; Six Grandchildren, Tyler Youler, Shelbi Youler, Hunter Lowe, River Lowe, Aliannah Lewellen and Keilani Lewellen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM followed by a service celebrating Dee’s life with Kim Dillinger presiding over the service. Interment will be private per family request.
