Barbara Ann Shimek Moses, age 80, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in Bella Health Care surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 15, 1944 in Uniontown, PA daughter of the late George Shimek and Mary Coss Shimek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the following siblings, Ellen Jane, Wilma, Audrey Virginia, Sam, John, and Jim
Barbara was a graduate of Uniontown High School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church.
Left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her husband of 58 years, John Moses; daughter, Michele Moses (Eric); beloved granddaughter, Gianna Yackmack; brother, George Shimek and sister, Marcia Shimek and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
With grateful hearts the family would like to thank her wonderful friends, Ruth Lint and Bill Buehner, and Father Kyp for his visits.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 13th from 4 until 5 p.m. followed by a service celebrating Barbara’s life with Father Kyprian Wojciechowski officiating. Interment will be private.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bella Healthcare and WVU Hospice for their exceptional, wonderful and compassionate care of Barbara.
